The Redditch Astronomical Society was founded in 2007 by a group of like minded individuals in order to provide a friendly, entertaining and informative
meeting place in which to discover and enjoy Astronomy in the Redditch and Bromsgrove area of the West Midlands.
As a group we are interested in a variety of astronomy related subjects from observational astronomy and astrophotography to radio astronomy.
Our aim in forming the society was to encourage any local amateurs and enthusiasts to get to know more about the subject and share their personal knowledge and experience.
We host friendly social evenings, lectures and observing sessions and encourage everyone to get involved.
We also have access to a local dark site and use our local knowledge to find more in the Redditch and Bromsgrove area.
